Celebrating Nature Through Art: Isle of Wight Artist Transforms Window at Independent Arts for Biosphere Festival 2025

This June, as part of the much-anticipated Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival 2025, local artist Claire Sells is bringing the beauty of the Island’s natural world to the heart of Newport.

Using vibrant POSCA pens, renowned for their bold, eco-friendly pigments, this talented Isle of Wight artist is creating a stunning window art installation at Independent Arts. The design is inspired by the rich flora and wildlife of the Isle of Wight Biosphere Reserve, capturing the unique biodiversity that makes the Island a designated UNESCO Biosphere.

From delicate coastal wildflowers to bees, the intricate illustrations celebrate the Island’s commitment to sustainability, creativity, and community. A perfect blend of art, environment, and public engagement.

Visitors are invited to stop by Independent Arts from the 28th June to 6th July 2025 to view the installation.

Whether you’re a nature lover, art enthusiast, or just exploring what’s on in the Isle of Wight this June and July, this window art piece offers a unique, family-friendly way to connect with the Isle of Wight’s Biosphere story.

Don’t miss this vibrant tribute to nature, creativity, and the Isle of Wight community — only at Independent Arts, part of the Biosphere Festival 2025.
